Iron Lynx announces two-car LMGT3 effort for 2024 WEC

Iron Lynx is delighted to announce its entry into the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship, running in the new LMGT3 category with two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo 2 cars.

Racing in the yellow #60 Iron Lynx Huracán LMGT3 will be Claudio Schiavoni, continuing for a fourth consecutive season. The identity of the two other drivers will be communicated in due course.

Last season, the #60 car had its best result of the season at Monza – finishing second at the team’s home race, while also mounting a championship challenge in the European Le Mans Series.

Having claimed a historic first-ever WEC victory in Bahrain, both for the Iron Dames and for an all-female crew, the team return in 2024 for a fourth consecutive season and enter the new GT3 category after taking the final GT-era win. Not only that, but they also took three pole positions and a further podium in Portugal en route to second in the overall standings.

Michelle Gatting, the Danish driver who helped secure the team’s impressive 2023 results, is the first to be confirmed in the Lamborghini LMGT3, with the other drivers to be announced at a later date.

The entries will take part in the eight races that comprises the 2024 season which begins on 2 March with a new race – the Qatar 1812km. The European part of the season then includes the inaugural 6 Hours of Imola on 21 April, before the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on 11 May.

The 92nd 24 Hours of Le Mans takes place on 15-16 June, before a return to the 6 Hours of São Paulo on 14 July. Circuit of the Americas hosts Lone Star Le Mans on 1 September, before the season is rounded out by the 6 Hours of Fuji on 15 September and the 8 Hours of Bahrain on 2 November.
