Dreaming of the Le Mans 24 Hours and a world title, Dane Cameron asked just over a year ago to take part in FIA WEC rather than IMSA. Although his request was granted by Porsche Penske Motorsport, the 35-year-old American struggled somewhat in FIA WEC.

So, in order to maximise his chances, the German-American outfit has decided to recall Cameron to IMSA, a championship he knows by heart and which has crowned him three times, in 2014 in GTD, in Prototype in 2016 and in DPi in 2019. He will be alongside Felipe Nasr in the N°7 963.

Matt Campbell, although brilliant on the other side of the Atlantic, is going the other way. The 28-year-old Australian is making his return to the World Endurance Championship after three seasons in GTE Am between 2018 and 2021 in Dempsey-Proton Racing Porsche 911 RSRs.

Campbell is entered in the #5 963, which he will share with Dane Michael Christensen and Frenchman Frédéric Makowiecki. As last year, the n°6 car will be driven by the Kévin Estre / André Lotterer / Laurens Vanthoor trio.

In IMSA, Matthieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy are back together again in the N°6 car, and will be joined at the 24 Hours of Daytona by Kévin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor. On the N°7, Felipe Nasr and Dane Cameron will be assisted in Florida by Josef Newgarden and Matt Campbell.
