The Pole is strongly tipped to take his place in the potential third Ferrari 499P, which is expected to run the entire 2024 World Endurance Championship season. Today at Imola, he takes the wheel of the Italian Hypercar for the first time.

Earlier this month in Bahrain, Antonello Coletta confirmed that Ferrari was now in a position to field a third 499P next year, for the entire 2024 WEC season. The question now is which entity it will run under and who will be at the wheel.

According to our information, AF Corse Srl will be the team behind this third 499P. Regarding the drivers, according to our information, Robert Kubica is on track today at Imola at the wheel of the 499P. Even nothing is confirmed, this suggests that he should be at the wheel of this third car, which is expected to be entered privately next year.

Robert Shwartzman, who discovered endurance racing this year via GT World Challenge Europe in GT3, could join him, unsurprisingly. Best time in the Bahrain Rookie Test at the wheel of the 499P, the 24-year-old Russian (who drives under an Israeli licence) is also a Scuderia F1 reserve after winning the FIA F3 title in 2019, two years before finishing runner-up to Oscar Piastri in FIA F2. As for the third man, we can expect to see another big name.

According to our information, Antonio Fuoco, Nicklas Nielsen, Miguel Molina, James Calado, Antonio Giovinazzi and Alessandro Pier Guidi have been extended.

Juste une petite correction, c'est "The Pole" et non "The Polish" pour traduire "Le Polonais"
