This is definitely a day for goodbyes. After Raffaele Marciello, it's Charlie Eastwood's turn to make official the end of the romance with the brand whose interests he has been defending since 2018: Aston Martin.

A short while ago, the 28-year-old Briton posted a message on social networks to announce the news. "My time with @AMR_Official has come to an end! My first ever endurance race was in an Aston Martin GT3 back at the start of 2018. 14 months on, after winning Spa 24hr I was honoured to sign a factory contract which has lasted until now. I will be forever grateful to AMR for taking me on so early in my endurance career and giving me the chance to fulfil a childhood dream of winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans."

In five years, the 2017 Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion did a tremendous job. Winner of the 2019 24 Hours of Spa in Pro/Am with Oman Racing with TF Sport, he finished third in the 2018-2019 WEC season in the GTE Am category, before moving up one place in the following season.

In 2020, he also snatched the honorary title of Open GT runner-up and above all victory in the GTE Am class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, in a Vantage AMR shared with Jonathan Adam and Salih Yoluç.   In 2021, he also successfully discovered LMP2, a category which saw him crowned Asian Le Mans Series champion in 2023 with DKR Engineering, just a few weeks after being crowned LMP2 Pro/Am champion in the ELMS.    All these feats have been achieved with Tom Ferrier's TF Sport team, with whom he has forged a very special relationship. Will he follow the British team in its new adventure with Corvette?
