WEC / BoP - 7 kg less for Porsche and Cadillac in Bahrain

For the finale of the 2023 World Endurance Championship season, the ACO and the FIA have decided to give the LMDh a helping hand.

At the start of the season, the ACO and the FIA announced that the BoP Platform, which was supposed to balance performance between LMHs and LMDhs, was likely to be modified every two races. After a complete overhaul of the BoP before and after the 24 Hours of Le Mans, this time only the BoP Platform has been revised.

 

As a result, the minimum weight of the Cadillac V-Series.R and the Porsche 963 has been reduced by 7kg compared with the BoP planned for Bahrain and defined after Le Mans, which predicted a weight of 1037 kg for the American and 1053 kg for the German. And, unsurprisingly, the maximum stint energy has been reduced by 1 MJ. The full table can be found below.
