The ADAC GT Masters will branch out in a new direction in the 2024 season. The series will now focus on a Pro-Am format for talented youngsters and Gentlemen drivers. The best young racer can prove themselves on the new ‘Road to DTM’ programme and will receive a staring place for the 2025 DTM season. Next year’s ADAC GT Masters will consist of twelve races over six events in four countries, including at three current Formula 1 circuits. The new ADAC GT Masters season gets underway at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben for the 15th time from 26th to 28th April 2024.

“Next year’s attractive calendar sees the ADAC GT Masters line up at top events, while the circuits are among the most popular in Northern Europe. In the future, we are shifting the focus of the ADAC GT Masters to young drivers and ambitious Gentlemen racers, thus giving the series a new profile,” says ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss.

As of next season, the focus will be on a Pro-Am driver concept. Professional drivers with a Platinum classification are no longer eligible, nor are all-Pro pairings with two Gold drivers. Drivers with Gold classification are able to compete in certain combinations. Gentleman drivers with Bronze classification will battle for titles and trophies in the Am class in the future.

The Junior competition remains an integral part of the championship. This way, the ADAC GT Masters is sticking with its philosophy of giving young drivers the best support possible. Aspiring youngsters will still have the chance to show what they are capable of on the high-profile DTM platform. And the best performances will be royally rewarded: the new ‘Road to DTM’ sees the championship’s best young driver receive a starting place for the 2025 DTM, in the form of a free entry. Successful drivers and teams will be rewarded with a share of the big prize purse. As well as race wins and titles, participants in the ADAC GT Masters will also be competing for cash and non-cash prizes worth more than € 570,000.

Four of the six events in next year’s ADAC GT Masters will share the bill with the DTM. The season-opener takes place for the 15th time at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (26th to 28th April). The second race weekend sees the ADAC’s iconic GT series travel abroad for the first of three events outside of Germany (7th to 9th June). Circuit Zandvoort is a popular destination for fans, thanks to its attractive location on the North Sea coast. The ADAC GT Masters then appears at one of the biggest motorsport events in Germany. For the second year in a row, the drivers will line up at the ADAC Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring (12th to 14th July). After a short summer break, it is off to the Belgian Ardennes for the next highlight: the current Formula 1 circuit at Spa-Francorchamps hosts round four of the season (30th August to 1st September). After that, the ADAC GT Masters travels to the Red Bull Ring in Austria (27th to 29th September). The season finale at the end of October will form part of the DTM race weekend at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg (18th to 20th October).
