As we reported yesterday, the Lamborghini SC63 spent two days testing at Imola last week. And according to the Italian - Iron Lynx Team Principal and CEO - they were promising.

The press release is succinct and the information sparse, but the SC63's first real test session looks promising. After Lamborghini Squadra Corse yesterday, it's the turn of Iron Lynx, its partner in the project, to express its views via its CEO and Team Principal.

“It's the first time that we're involved in such a big project starting from scratch", he said. "There are many people working together and the first task is to create the right atmosphere and build a team. Since we drove the car out of the pits in Vallelunga last week, the drivers reported a general positive feeling. We didn't have any major issue so far, step by step we're driving longer stints, learning the car and getting faster. Still a long way to go, a lot of debugging and development needed, but the first impression is definitely positive!”

This is a good thing for a car which is due to make its race debut at the opening round of the 2024 WEC season in Qatar (March 2). As a reminder, of the four drivers already confirmed on the programme, only Romain Grosjean (retained in the United States for IndyCar) has not yet taken the wheel of the Italian LMDh. Next stops: Paul Ricard and Spa-Francorchamps.
