It’s no coincidence that the 2024 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America schedule aligns well with events where the manufacturer’s LMDh prototype will also race in its debut season. It was by design.

Next season’s North American calendar for Super Trofeo, unveiled today, features five noted venues: Sebring International Raceway, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen International, Circuit of The Americas and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. All will run in conjunction with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship except the COTA event that’s paired with the FIA World Endurance Championship’s U.S. visit.

The Lamborghini SC63 is expected to race in the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) class of the WeatherTech Championship alongside the Super Trofeo series at Sebring, Watkins Glen and Indy, and in the WEC Hypercar class at COTA. Scheduling the Super Trofeo single-make series on those same weekends will build in an instant Lamborghini following for the new prototype, according to Chris Ward, senior manager of motorsports for Automobili Lamborghini America.

“It gives our Super Trofeo teams, drivers, customers and dealer guests the opportunity to follow the fortunes of the prototype program,” Ward explained. “I don't think anyone could argue that those are five of the most storied road courses in North America, so it’s very exciting.”

All Super Trofeo competitors race in identical Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo2 cars. Each race weekend includes two 50-minute races. The 2024 season opens March 13-16 as part of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring weekend. It will be Super Trofeo’s first visit since 2015, when the Florida circuit hosted the final North American round in conjunction with the World Finals bringing together competitors from the North American, European and Asian series.

Succeeding North American rounds are May 10-12 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, June 27-30 at Watkins Glen, Aug. 30-Sept. 1 at COTA and Sept. 20-22 at Indianapolis. The final round will be held at the to-be-determined site of the 2024 World Finals. With events in Florida, California, New York and Texas, Ward pointed out that Super Trofeo will race in its four largest dealer markets.

The popularity of the Super Trofeo series continues growing as Ward looks ahead to its 12th season.

“For all intents and purposes, we’ve sold out of cars for next year,” he said. “We've virtually had capacity grids all this year and expect the same for next year. The series seems to be going from strength to strength.”
