In the wake of the Le Mans 24 Hours, the Belgian team began its test programme with its German LMDh.
In a week's time, Team WRT will be focused on the 24 Hours of Spa with its four BMW M4 GT3s. The other part of the team, the LMP2 team, is working on the Hypercar dossier with the first test session of the M Hybrid V8 BMW.
The first kilometres of the prototype, which complies with the LMDh technical regulations, were driven at the BMW base in Germany just before the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Belgian team has now returned to the heart of the matter on a Spanish circuit.
WRT's debut in the Hypercar class is scheduled for 2024 in the WEC, with the entry of two cars alongside a probable presence in LM GT3 with BMW.
The drivers for the Hypercar programme will be announced at a later date. Before that, there's the LMP2 world title to chase.
