The second free practice session of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was very lively. Apart from the two Porsche 963s, which were plagued by transmission and hybrid problems, the n°3 Cadillac V-Series.R brought out the first red flag. Renger van der Zande had to stop on the track due to a fire that caused extensive damage to his machine.

Finally, the session was interrupted before its end by a big crash between the n°21 and n°54 Ferraris, driven by Diego Alessi and Thomas Flohr respectively. The former was penalized for the accident.

The good news is that the n°3 Cadillac will be able to take part in the third free practice session, scheduled for 11am. This should also be the case for the n°54 Ferrari, but AF Corse has to change the chassis of the n°21 car. The latter will therefore be back at best for qualifying at 5pm, but more likely for the race tomorrow.

A big shoutout to the @CGRTeams crew who were here in the early hours to change engines after a small fire in FP2 yesterday. We’re ready to go today, and I’m looking forward to finally getting some laps in ?#BeIconic #CadillacRacing pic.twitter.com/fZr7BSZSWQ
