Liqui Moly Team Engstler Motorsport will line up in its first season in the ADAC GT Masters in 2023. In Chinese driver Dylan Yip and Kwanda Mokoena from South Africa, the team from Wiggensbach in the Allgäu region of Germany is putting its faith in two international rookies. In recent years, the team has won multiple titles in ADAC TCR Germany and now goes in pursuit of success in the ADAC GT Masters as well as the DTM. The new Engstler duo will make their debut at the opening round of the iconic GT3 series, which takes place on 10th June as part of the “Festival of Dreams” at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg. The event, along with the season’s other ten races, will be broadcast live on free-to-air TV station Sport1.

“I am very proud that we are continuing where we left off in TCR racing, and remain committed to developing juniors. In Dylan and Kwanda, we have two highly-motivated youngsters who we are only too happy to mould and support on their road to professional racing,” says team owner Franz Engstler.

At just 17, Yip is the youngest driver in the field and is already looking forward to the opening race in Hockenheim: “I am thrilled to be racing in the 2023 ADAC GT Masters with Liqui Moly Team Engstler Motorsport. It will be an exciting season for me and my team-mates. At the same time, the step up from karting to the ADAC GT Masters is a challenge.” His team-mate Mokoena drove Audi’s super sports car in the nine-hour race in Kyalami, South Africa, in the Intercontinental GT Challenge. “I am really looking forward to the season. I want to learn a lot and also get some good results,” says the 19-year-old.
