As announced last week, the two Porsche 963s of Hertz Team Jota and JDC-Miller Motorsports did their first laps of the track this week. A simple shakedown session on the Porsche private track in Weissach before the cars are handed over to their operating teams.

First, it was the Hertz Team Jota car that did its shakedown on Wednesday, in the hands of an official driver of the German manufacturer : the Australian Matt Campbell. There is no time to lose for Hertz Team Jota as the British team's 963 will make its racing debut next week at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, third round of the World Endurance Championship. Both the team and the drivers (António Félix da Costa / Will Stevens / Yifei Ye) will have a lot to do as they will have everything to discover.

This was followed the next day by the JDC-Miller MotorSports car, which is scheduled to make its debut on 14 May at Laguna Seca (California), for the fourth round of the IMSA season.  * : The photo above is of the very first run of the 963 in Weissach, with Frédéric Makowiecki.
