Laffite Automobili to launch five electric hypercars
In the Laffite family, I ask for Jacques' nephew : Bruno. "My dream has always been to see racing cars on the road," he says. "After years of research, work and development, I created Laffite Automobili and gathered around me one of the best teams in the world to give substance to my ambition."
And for good reason, to carry out his project, he called on Fabrizio and Giorgetto Giugiaro - who created GFG Style, an independent design firm - and L.M. Gianetto, a Turin-based automotive engineering and construction firm. Founded in 1966, it has worked with official racing teams in F1, WRC and GT, contributing to the success of legendary cars such as the Lancia 037 and Delta HF.
"When Fabrizio Giugiaro understood the scope of what I wanted to achieve, he smiled at me and said: 'Let's create a car revolution together'," says Bruno Laffite. "Creating three Hypercars at the same time had never been done before. So it was an incredible challenge." The Italian designer says: "It is an honour for us to be able to write the first pages of a new chapter in the automotive industry with Laffite Automobili."
To see the silhouette of these cars, however, you will have to wait a little longer. They will be unveiled on May 3, during the Miami Grand Prix.
