Huber Racing is good to go in its debut ADAC GT Masters season: team principal Christoph Huber can call on race winner Tim Zimmermann (26/Langenargen) to drive the new Porsche 911 GT3 R. He will line up alongside 26-year-old New Zealander and former Porsche Junior Jaxon Evans. TV partner Sport1 will report live from all twelve races, starting with the opening round of the season on 10th June, which forms part of the “Festival of Dreams” at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg.

“In Tim, we have one of the best Silver drivers you can get your hands on in the ADAC GT Masters,” says Huber, heaping praise on his driver. Despite still being relatively young, Zimmermann already has a wealth of experience in the ADAC GT Masters and is about to enter into his fourth season. In his rookie season in 2020, he caught the eye by winning the title in the Pirelli Junior competition. Last year, at the side of Christopher Mies (33/Düsseldorf), he won his first race in the ADAC’s iconic GT3 series at the Lausitzring.

Huber is also delighted with the signing of Evans: “We are extremely happy to have an experienced driver on board in Jaxon, who has already racked up a lot of race kilometres in Porsche’s GT3 models.” After making his debut in 2022 at Austria’s Red Bull Ring, Evans will now go in pursuit of success in his first full season of ADAC GT Masters. Evans has already driven the new Porsche 911 GT3 R at the endurance classics in Daytona and Sebring.

In recent years, Huber Racing has developed into one of the most successful teams in the Porsche one-make cups. The outfit now has its sights set on adding ADAC GT Masters trophies to its collection at the new company site in Hofkirchen, Bavaria. “First and foremost, we want to mix it at the front in the ADAC GT Masters. Our aspiration is to be the best Porsche team in the field. For this reason, we are also aiming for podiums and race wins in our first season. It would be great if we were in contention for the title going into the final race. I am expecting a strong field in the ADAC GT Masters again this season,” says Huber.
