Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS will continue to race at Brands Hatch until at least 2025 following confirmation of a new agreement between circuit owner MotorSport Vision (MSV) and SRO Motorsports Group which operates the championship.

The extension ensures that one of the championship's Fanatec GT Sprint Cup rounds will continue to feature on the Kent circuit's calendar for the next three years, starting from this season's fixture on the full Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit (13/14 May).

Fanatec GT Sprint Cup events feature two one-hour headline races for race-prepared GT3 supercars. These events comprise a championship in their own right, as well as forming part of the larger Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS structure alongside the Fanatec GT Endurance Cup.

Brands Hatch's round has traditionally taken place in May and is now well established as the opening round of the Fanatec GT Sprint Cup portion of the season. The event is firmly thought of now as a flagship international meeting at the circuit, with thousands of racegoers attending each year for a weekend of high level competition featuring world class drivers and teams.

Stephane Ratel, SRO Motorsports Group Founder & CEO, said: "We are delighted to confirm that Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS will extend its long and successful partnership with MSV to host an annual round at Brands Hatch by a further three years. SRO has significant history at this track and it has become one of the cornerstones of the Fanatec GT Sprint Cup since staging its first race meeting in 2014. Almost a decade on it remains immensely popular with both fans and drivers, so I expect a very positive reaction to the news that we will continue to visit through at least 2025. We must extend our thanks to MotorSport Vision and the dedicated team at the circuit for their work, which is rewarded with a first-class racing venue. We look forward to opening the upcoming Fanatec GT Sprint Cup season at Brands Hatch in May."

David Willey, MSV Group Motorsport Events Manager, said: "I'm delighted that we will continue to host Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS until at least 2025. The Fanatec GT Sprint Cup meeting has been a consistent fixture on our calendar for coming up to a decade now, and it's fantastic that the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit will retain its place on the international sports car and GT racing scene. It's always a pleasure to work with the SRO Motorsports Group, both on its international and domestic events, and we're looking forward to continuing that successful relationship.
