Ceccato Racing in Monza for the debut in the GT World Challenge Europe
After the positive experience at Imola in the 2022 DTM, Ceccato Racing announces their participation in the first round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup, scheduled at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza on April 21-23, continuing their series of international participations.
The Italian team will make their debut in the most famous European GT car series with a BMW M4 GT3 that will be driven by Marco Cassarà, Stefano Comandini and Francesco Guerra. The lineup, registered as BMW Italia Ceccato Racing Team in the Pro-Am category, will carry the #15 racing number, which is the same that Roberto Ravaglia, today the Team Manager of Ceccato Racing, took to victory in the 1989 DTM.
For Comandini, this will be a welcome return to the series, as he also participated in the 2013 and 2014 seasons, obtaining a nice Pro-Am victory at Monza in the latter. It will be a debut for Marco Cassarà, while Francesco Guerra will continue his experience after the 2021 campaign in the GT4 European Series, a supporting category to the GT World Challenge Europe.
It will undoubtedly be an important showcase for Ceccato Racing, which recently announced its line-up for the 2023 Italian GT Championship season. The Monza event will represent an important opportunity to compete with the strongest GT3 drivers in Europe and to collect important data for the upcoming GT championship season, which will start at Misano on May 5th.
