Tower Motorsports with TDS Racing is delighted to confirm their entry in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, competing with the Tower Events | Vaillante #13 ORECA 07 LMP2 prepared by French outfit TDS Racing. The world renowned event is celebrating their 100th anniversary, and the team is prepared to fight for the win at the Race of the Century. The reigning 2022 LMP2 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Champions will be taking their skills overseas, accompanied by a star-studded and highly experienced driver lineup including Ricky Taylor, who competes with Wayne Taylor Racing in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, and NEOM McLaren Formula E driver René Rast.

Team owner, team principal and driver John Farano has put together an incredibly competitive outfit and is confident in the team’s ability to rise to the occasion. After racking up several wins and podiums last season, and freshly winning the famed 12 Hours of Sebring this year, the Canadian team has demonstrated that they have a winning package.

“To compete in the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans, and in particular this year’s edition being the 100th year anniversary of the event, is a distinct honour and a dream that very few racers worldwide will have the privilege to be a part of,” said John Farano. “This is a race that every driver in the world wants to win, and I wholeheartedly believe that Tower Motorsports with TDS Racing has the resources to achieve this goal. We have two highly skilled teams joining forces, which will result in one of the best prepared cars, supported by a dedicated and hardworking crew that will be ready to compete at the highest level. I am absolutely thrilled to be joined by Ricky Taylor and René Rast, who will not only add to our leadership team, but who are also two world class drivers that I feel very fortunate to have as co-drivers.”

Le Mans is the one race of the year that every driver wants to participate in, and being able to join a powerhouse team such as Tower Motorsports with TDS Racing is really a great opportunity,” added co-driver Ricky Taylor. “Any time TDS have competed at Le Mans, they have been one of the cars that everyone knows will be fighting for the win. We have one goal and that is nothing less than winning Le Mans and it looks like we have all of the pieces in place to be able to do it. Getting to know John over the past few months has been really nice, he is very focused and has the motivation and competitive drive to go out and win this race, and as a teammate that makes me very happy. I’ve also been a fan of René for years, he’s one of the quickest guys out there and it’s a huge win to have him on the team.”

I am very much looking forward to this race and I am thrilled to be joining Tower Motorsports with TDS Racing for the event,” added co-driver René Rast. “Le Mans is one of my favourite races and it always feels good to be able to come back, especially for the very special 100th anniversary this year. I think we have a very solid and professional team behind us, in addition to a strong driver lineup, so I am greatly looking forward to competing in this event again and hopefully challenge for the win in our class. I can’t wait to jump in the car for the first time in Monza to test this machine. I’m looking forward to getting started and we will be working hard to achieve a lot of success together as a team.”

We are very happy to support John Farano and his team for the Centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans,” added TDS Racing Team Owner Xavier Combet. “TDS Racing will be participating in this mythical event for the twelfth consecutive year. Our goal is to use our prior knowledge of the 24 Hours of Le Mans to try to win the very competitive LMP2 Pro Am class with Tower Motorsports. I have no doubt that Ricky Taylor and René Rast will also be two very good allies in helping us achieve this goal.”

The Centenary of the Le Mans 24 Hours will be held on June 10th and 11th, 2023 at the Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans.
