Alpine is making its return to LMP2 this season with two prototypes entered in the WEC. Philippe Sinault explains the reasons for this return as he awaits his Hypercar debut next season with a brand new car.

Pending its Hypercar programme in 2024, Alpine is making its return to LMP2, a category where Philippe Sinault's team has won in the past. Since its departure from the category in 2021 to join the ranks of Hypercar, the level has risen sharply. WRT, Prema, Jota and United Autosports have raised their game. In order to play up front, the French team is running two Oreca 07s this year.
