Responding to feedback from the teams

"The GT4 class is one of the strongest and most hotly contested for us," said GTWS project manager Robin Selbach. "But it is currently integrated into the overall GT Winter Series field. Even if you win in GT4, which is a big achievement from a sporting point of view, you hardly stand out as fifteenth in the field. In a separate GT4 championship, it's a completely different story. Here, a win puts you right at the top of the podium!"

Proven staging mode with two sprint races and one endurance race

In addition to a double qualifying session, the race mode includes two 30-minute sprint races. "Our racers love this," says Markus Gedlich from promoter Gedlich Racing, "because a sprint race like this has a very special tension. You can choose whether one driver does both sprints or two drivers split the two races."

In addition, there will be a 60-minute Endurance, as known from the internationally renowned GT4 series. This will give teams the option to use this mode as well and match up driver pairings.

Test days before each race event, live streams of the races

Before each race event, there will be two test days on the same track, which can be booked as an option. This gives teams and drivers the opportunity to get plenty of track time with the same journey and to prepare driver and car optimally.

In addition, all GT4ws races will be streamed live. This means that everyone can follow the races live and join in the excitement.

Attractive prize money  The GT4ws is made particularly attractive by the prize money package totaling €60,000. The champion receives €30,000, the runner-up €20,000 and the third place winner €10,000.

SRO and Pirelli as partners  The GT4WS will be an officially licensed race series by the SRO organization and will bear its official logo and run according to its Balance of Performance. Pirelli will be the tire partner, so this is also similar to the usual international series.

Calendar already almost fixed, enrollment or reservation possible

Gedlich Racing can already name a preliminary calendar, where almost all locations are fixed. Only the confirmation of Barcelona is still pending.

For questions or feedback, teams are welcome to contact Robin Selbach or GTWS race series coordinator Stefan Lehner at any time. Here you can pre-register for the GT4ws, so that your starting place is secured. Alternatively, you can already register now.
