Something wrong between IMSA and Porsche ?

Porsche suffered in GTD at Daytona with its new generation 911 GT3 R cars far from the competition. What conclusion should we draw from this? Just a bad start? There is now talk of a withdraw for the rest of the championship. So, what's going on?

Much was expected of the 992-based Porsche 911 GT3 R at the 24 Hours of Daytona, where the German manufacturer's new GT3 made its competitive debut. This debut against the competition ended in a cold shower. Last year two Porsche 911 GT3 R's fought for victory until the last minutes, but this January there was no such thing as a podium finish. Could it be that IMSA and Porsche are on fire?
