The DTM lines up with a top-class field in 2023. A total of 13 teams with six different manufacturers will contest the 35th season of the DTM, which will be promoted by the ADAC for the first time. Teams will go in pursuit of the title with cars from Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche when the season gets underway at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben from 26th to 28th May. Fans can look forward to new models from Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche. Thanks to the ADAC, the topic of sustainability will play an important role in the DTM: from this year, all the cars will run on a sustainable fuel from Shell, which is made from 50% renewable components. ProSieben will continue to broadcast all the races, on the Saturday and the Sunday of race weekends, live and in full on free-to-air TV. Tickets for the live experience at the circuits will go on sale on 1st March.

“We are opening a new chapter for the DTM under the umbrella of the ADAC. From now on, the DTM is all about sustainability, innovation, entertainment and exciting motorsport. With a host of high-profile newcomers, internationally-renowned top teams, super sports cars from all the premium manufacturers, and elite drivers, fans can look forward to a thrilling season. The high level of interest in the DTM shows that our ideas and plans for the series have been well received,” says ADAC Sport President Dr. Gerd Ennser.

The DTM grid will feature two Audi teams in 2023: ABT Sportsline and Liqui Moly Team Engstler will run the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II. The defending champions at Schubert Motorsport will put their faith in the BMW M4 GT3, as will newcomers Project 1. The champion team from the 2022 ADAC GT Masters, Emil Frey Racing, are set for their DTM debut with the brand-new Ferrari 296 GT3. Lamborghini is also represented by the GRT Grasser Racing Team and SSR Performance. Both teams line up with the latest GT3 model, the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2. Mercedes-AMG Team HRT, the team that won last year’s ADAC GT Masters, and DTM newcomers Mercedes-AMG Team Landgraf and Mercedes-AMG Team WINWARD will fly the flag for Mercedes-AMG. Completing the high-class DTM field are three Porsche teams with the newly-developed 911 GT3 R: Manthey EMA returns to the DTM, Toksport WRT is set to make its debut, and KÜS Team Bernhard represents Porsche for the second year.

TV partner ProSieben will again show all 16 races live on free-to-air TV. As well as the races, fans can also watch the battle for grid positions in qualifying live at ran.de. Presenters Andrea Kaiser and Matthias Killing, together with commentator Eddie Mielke, will provide fascinating and entertaining coverage for all fans watching on TV.
