COOL Racing / CLX Motorsport will be back on track next month with the Asian Le Mans Series in LMP2 and LMP3. It will then be time to think about the various European programmes which will include a new season in the European Le Mans Series and the Michelin Le Mans Cup.

For the LMP2 part, the first lineup, already known, will bring together Nicolas Lapierre, Alexandre Coigny and Malthe Jakobsen. Certainly a trio to watch out for victories. A second Oreca 07 will take part in the European championship. The first driver announced is Vladislav Lomko.

The 20-year-old native of Ural (Russia), who has a French licence, has been in French Formula 4 before racing in various championships, reaching the Euroformula Open in 2022 with a runner-up finish with Crypto Tower Racing behind Oliver Goethe.

Before joining COOL Racing in LMP2, 'Vlad' Lomko will compete in the Asian Le Mans Series in the LMP3 class in a Ligier JS P320 entered by CD Sport.

"We are glad to announce our first driver for our 2023 LMP2 European Series campaign", said the team. "Vladislav Lomko will also be part of our Le Mans 24 Hours lineup. Young talented driver, Vlad will make his endurance debut after strong results in single seater. After racing in the French F4 FFSA Academy, he won races in various F4 series and finished running up of the Euroformula Open in 2022. Welcome to the team Vlad !"

"I'm extremely happy to join COOL Racing for the 2023 season", said Lomko."It's a great team and I can definitely learn new skills and improve as a driver. I’m sure we can have some great results in LMP2 together and looking forward to successful partnership!"

COOL Racing currently has an invitation to the 24 Hours of Le Mans following its LMP3 title in the European Le Mans Series. Nico Lapierre's team, managed by Anthony Megevand, can hope for a second ticket after the Asian Le Mans Series.

At the end of the Asian championship, we are looking at two LMP2s and one LMP3 in the ELMS and two LMP3s in the Michelin Le Mans Cup.
