Isotta Fraschini hopes to be at Le Mans 24 Hours

Caught up in time with a car that is not yet homologated, Isotta Fraschini was well aware that his full season bid could be derailed, especially as the 2023 WEC grid is packed with 38 cars. 

The plan is to start racing during the season. When will it happen? No date has been set as it will depend on the progress of the project. Although the Italian manufacturer will not be present full-time in the WEC, it is not excluded that it will be present next June for the centenary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Isotta Fraschini has the opportunity to apply for the Le Mans classic in the same way as other teams, all of whom will have to pass the selection committee before being awarded the precious sesame of an invitation to Le Mans.

"Not our choice to take," the manufacturer said in response to a tweet from an endurance enthusiast asking if Le Mans would be on the menu this year. "We would love to be there and we will send our race partecipation request, but it's not assured since we're not full time WEC partecipant. Again, we have to keep fingers crossed." Isotta Fraschini has joined forces with Vector Sport for a WEC entry. In the meantime, the British team will contest a new season in LMP2 with an Oreca 07 entrusted to Ryan Cullen.
