Kessel Racing, which has been involved in the Le Mans series for the past few years, has submitted an entry form for the upcoming WEC season, which starts in mid-March with the 1000 Miles of Sebring.

The Swiss team, led by Ronnie Kessel, will contest a final world campaign with its Ferrari 488 GTE in the unique GTE (GTE-Am) class.

Not surprisingly, Takeshi Kimura will be at the wheel of the Ferrari. The FIA Bronze rated Japanese driver is a loyal member of the Swiss team for whom he competed in the 2022 European Le Mans Series with Mikkel Jensen and Frederik Schandorff. Kimura-san has competed in four Le Mans 24 Hours, all in a Ferrari 488 GTE, and twice for Kessel Racing.

The Car Guy driver will be able to count on the extensive experience of Daniel Serra to accompany him. The 39-year-old Brazilian, an official Ferrari GT driver, has six starts in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, including five in a Ferrari 488 GTE. His last world campaign was in 2021 in one of the two official Ferraris.

The third man will be Scott Huffaker. The 23-year-old American, who has been seen driving a prototype in recent seasons, will make his WEC and Le Mans debut in June. The WEC is his second programme for the coming season as he will be seen in the longer IMSA races with TDS Racing.
