JP Motorsport will continue to compete on the SRO international GT3 platform in 2023. In the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup, the team based in Erkelenz will bring two McLaren 720S GT3s to the start. While one car will fight for overall victories in the Pro class, the second car will compete in the Bronze Cup.

"We are delighted to be competing in the GT World Challenge Europe again next year," said JP Motorsport team manager Claude Roth. "The race series is the highest calibre GT race series in Europe and we think the quality will increase even more after the restructuring of the ADAC GT Masters."

The team's top car will feature former Formula 1 driver Christian Klien, who has been a regular JP Motorsport driver since 2020. The Austrian will share the car with Briton Dean MacDonald. The 22-year-old Briton already competed in the top-class racing series in the 2022 season with a McLaren and was able to clinch the Sprint Cup Pro-Am Cup title in the process.

In the Bronze Cup, the use of a gentleman driver with a Bronze driver classification is mandatory. JP Motorsport team owner Patryk Krupinski will fill this role in the driver duo. Joining Krupinski on the grid will be Austrian GT veteran Norbert Siedler. Siedler already completed his first starts for the Polish-flagged team in the GT World Challenge Europe in 2022.

"Our goal is to fight for the title in the Bronze Cup with Patryk and Norbert," Roth concludes. "But we also want to fight for top positions in the overall standings with Christian and Dean and we are very confident that we will succeed! Dean has already shown his talent this year and I don't have to say anything about the quality of Christian, a former Formula 1 driver and LMP1 factory driver!"
