Defending two-time Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen will spearhead the Supercheap Auto-backed entry. Van Gisbergen will be joined by Supercars teammate and star German driver Maximilian Götz. The three drivers will share the team's #888 Mercedes-AMG GT3.

The team’s new-look #888 Mercedes — revealed via renders — will carry an all-red livery. Triple Eight’s entry is an all-Pro entry, given the 12 Hour’s return of the category. Van Gisbergen, Feeney and Prince Jefri Ibrahim raced to third in the 2022 edition of the race. They came home behind the winning SunEnergy1 Racing Mercedes, which had Triple Eight support.

In the last 12 Hour to feature the Pro category — in 2020 — van Gisbergen helped Triple Eight to third. That year, van Gisbergen raced with Götz and Jamie Whincup.

Feeney, who recently won his first Supercars race, will make his third 12 Hour start. The 20-year-old has form at Mount Panorama, having won the Bathurst International’s three-hour GT race with Ibrahim.

"Any day you get to drive at Bathurst is a good day, let alone in these cars,” Feeney said. "It’s really cool to have the top teams and drivers from around the world coming back to Australia. And getting the chance to go head-to-head with them around one of the best race tracks in the world will be next level. I can’t wait to do our part to try to repeat the Mercedes-AMG podium lock-out we had in 2022."

Stefan Wendl, Head of Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing, was excited to tackle the race with Triple Eight. "We’re honored to partner with the championship winning Triple Eight team for the 2023 Bathurst 12 Hour, fielding an all-Pro-outfit,” Wendl said. "With the support of strong partners and in the hands of Shane, Broc and Maxi, I believe the team have what it takes to be a competitive trio to tackle the infamous Mount Panorama."
