After a partial season in the WEC, the American team finished third in the Constructors' standings. This was the reason why Jim Glickenhaus and Luca Ciancetto - boss of Podium Technology, the Italian entity behind Glickenhaus Racing - were in Bahrain last weekend.

Although a 007 LMH is on the official poster for the centenary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Jim Glickenhaus was discreet about his ambitions for 2023. He told us that he was looking for a budget and therefore partners to enter a car in the upcoming campaign.

Third in the 2022 Le Mans 24 Hours thanks to Briscoe-Westbrook-Mailleux, the entity no longer has the vocation to run loss-making sports programmes. And if no partner is found, it will unfortunately have to do without the 007 LMH in 2023. Is there still a possibility of seeing a 007 LMH in the Sarthe next June? Nothing is less certain. In view of the number of requests received in the WEC as well as in Le Mans, the ACO cannot favour such a project to the detriment of that of another team offering a complete programme. But let's hope that the legislator won't even have to ask such a question and that Jim will find a solution as soon as possible.

A decision should be made soon, according to the former film producer, who is in contact with potential partners. But given the aura of this atypical team and the media appeal of next year's WEC, it is hard to understand why no one would want to be associated with such a programme...
