Coupe Pièces Auto GT Hyper Sprint - Great battles and three different winners at Le Castellet

The inaugural season of the Coupe Pièces Auto GT Hyper Sprint, initiated at the beginning of the year, came to an end on Saturday 12 November at the end of three hard-fought races.

With 20 cars entered in the Var, the tension was at its highest on the starting grids and this, right from the first confrontation. At the end of the 25-minute race on Friday, Jérémy Colançon triumphed at the wheel of the Bentley Continental GT3 of the CMR team, which he shares with his father Philippe, on the occasion of his very first race in motor sport.

After a good night's sleep, the drivers met again at midday on Saturday for the second 25-minute sprint. Italian Edoardo Barbolini returned to victory in the n°3 Scuderia Ravetto & Ruberti Ferrari 488 GT3, taking advantage of the setbacks

of the n°28 BDR Competition Grupo Prom Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo, driven by Amaury Bonduel. The latter had no luck with the mechanics, retiring one after the other in the first two races.

These two retirements did not dampen the determination of the young Belgian driver, who is being closely monitored by Lamborghini Squadra Corse. Amaury Bonduel, who started from 17th on the grid following his setbacks, pulled out all the stops during the longest race (50 minutes) and the most lucrative in terms of points.

On the second lap, the first Ultimate Cup Series Single Seater Challenge champion in 2019 moved up to second place in the scratch race, before taking the lead on the following lap and winning the race under the chequered flag with a 19-second lead over the rest of the field, not only in the overall standings but also in the UGT3B category, in which Alexis Berthet (Ferrari 488 Challenge/CMR) and Nigel Bailly (Lamborghini Super Trofeo/CMR) won Race 1 and Race 2 respectively.

The UGT3A title in the Pièces Auto GT Hyper Sprint Cup went to the 100% transalpine crew of the Ferrari n°3 of the team founded by Manfredi Ravetto and Paolo Ruberti, for its first season in the Ultimate Cup Series.

Maxime Mainguy achieved a full house in the Porsche Cup category at the wheel of the n°82 Porsche entered under the Breizh Motorsport banner.

A successful first season for the #7 Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4, driven by the experienced and talented Valentin Hasse-Clot and Clément Dub, with three wins out of three in the UGTC4A category.
