2 Seas Motorsport will take on the Gulf 12 Hours event next month for a third successive season, returning to Yas Marina Circuit as reigning champions. Double race winners Sh. Isa Al Khalifa and Martin Kodrić are reunited in the #1 Mercedes-AMG, while the team is pleased to welcome back Hunter Abbott to complete the line-up. With this trio, the team enters the Pro-Am class. A second entry for the team will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

The team has scored back-to-back outright victories at the Gulf 12 Hours event. The debut win came in dominant style on home soil in Bahrain, during the relocated event in 2021, before taking the title again at the more familiar Yas Marina location earlier this year. With the race now back to its regular December schedule, 2 Seas Motorsport heads out to the Middle East for the winter season, looking to score another strong result.

Martin Kodrić and team co-owner Sh. Isa Al Khalifa have both been part of the winning line-ups for the past two years. They will be joined by Brit, Hunter Abbott, who previously raced with the team on a successful one-off appearance, taking victory alongside Martin, in the British GT Silverstone 500 headline event during the 2021 season.

This entry announcement is not the first time the team has contested the Pro-Am class at the event. The sister car to the race winners, the #66 Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Ian Loggie, Morgan Tillbrook, and Casper Stevenson, scored an impressive class podium, and -place overall last time out.

“The Gulf 12 Hours has become a staple of our winter programme since we set up 2 Seas Motorsport, and we have enjoyed great success, so I am really pleased to confirm that we are heading back for a third run. With the championship growing significantly, and having already achieved outright victories, we have pushed ourselves with a new challenge and taken the decision to shift our focus to the Pro-Am competition.

“Customer racing is a key part of our business as we continue grow and evolve, and I am excited to see what we can do against such a strong grid. It is great to be back in the car alongside Martin for a third year, and for Hunter to join the team again. He and Martin proved a formidable team last time they raced together, and I am confident we will be pushing at the front of the field again, looking to secure a third trophy.”
