ELMS finale to remain in Portimao until 2025

Le Mans Endurance Management (LMEM) and the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve have extended the agreement for the 4 Hours of Portimao to remain as the season finale of the European Le Mans Series until the end of the 2025 season.

Since 2017 the challenging circuit in the south of Portugal has provided the stage for some dramatic racing, with the 4 Hours of Portimao providing a unique challenge for teams and drivers.

 

Frédéric Lequien, CEO Le Mans Endurance Management, said: “We are very pleased to have reached an agreement with the management here at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve for the ELMS package to return to Portimao for the next three seasons.I would like to extend my thanks to CEO Paulo Pinheiro and his team for providing us with a great venue to host the ELMS.”

 

Paulo Pinheiro, CEO Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, said: "It is with great pride that we have renewed for three more seasons with European Le Mans Series. It is always a pleasure to welcome this organization and teams on our circuit, especially for the championship final. We thank you once again for the trust that CEO Frédéric Lequien and his team have in our work."

 

The 2023 4 Hours of Portimao will be held on Sunday 22 October and is the final race of the six round 2023 ELMS season.
