Will the current LMP2s be homologated for another year?

It's not a secret that the LMP2 class has been a great success since it was introduced in 2004 as a continuation of LMP675. It wasn't until 2008 that an LMP2 car finished ahead of a GT car in the Le Mans 24 Hours. Over the years, the category has become sharper, more professional and more developed. Just a few years ago, before a significant drop in performance, LMP2 cars were running at the same speed as the old LMP1 cars. While in 2022 this LMP2 class will still be very popular, a shift will take place in the years to come.
