TSS The Super Series is ready to join the Singapore Grand Prix support programme this coming weekend (30 Sep – 2 Oct) with a 25 strong entry packed with the latest GT3, GT4 and GTC cars.

This will be the first time that TSS The Super Series has supported a world class motorsport event – and significantly, this is the biggest and most important racing event in Asia – so to bring its unique, diverse format and action-packed racing spectacle to the Marina Bay Circuit is a highly significant milestone for Thai motorsport and a great privilege.

The stellar entry list sees latest generation GT3 cars from most major brands well represented, namely Porsche, Mercedes AMG, Audi, Aston Martin, Lexus, Bentley and BMW.

In term of the entry, rapid Singaporean Yuey Tan and Malaysia’s equally experienced Adrian D’Silva, will both drive Porsche 991 GT3-Rs, for SLK Racing and EBM Giga Racing, respectively.

Sticking with Porsche, and one to look out for in the GTM class, will be the Mongkol Motorsports entry for Tanart Sathienthirakul, the reigning Super Car GTM champion having a very busy year on track, and in fact, the Thai will come to Singapore straight from Okayama where he was racing in sportscars last weekend. Also look out for quick American driver Greg Bennett in a brand-new Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport fielded by B-Quik Absolute AFRacing.

Toyota Gazoo Racing Team Thailand enters Lexus RC F GT3s for reigning Super Car GT3 champion Piti Bhirombhakdi and Nattapong Horthongkum, also a former Super Car title winner. Experienced team owner Suttipong Smittacharch will drive a Supra GTC.

There’s a four strong line up of the new 2022-specification Audi R8 LMS GT3 “Evo 2” divided up between a pair entered by Audi Sport Asia Team Absolute for Yasser Shahin and Andrew Haryanto, who are taking up much delayed “prize drives”, and a brace from B-Quik Absolute Racing, for Dutchman Henk Kiks and Vincente Floirendo from The Philippines. Meanwhile, there is also an Audi GT4 for Anderson Tanoto.

Another crack team that will be aiming for nothing less than victory is Craft-Bamboo with AMG GT3s for former double Carrera Cup champion Darryl O'Young and successful Taiwanese driver Jeffrey Lee.

Thailand’s YK Motorsports Billionaire Boy By Sunoco will also run an AMG GT3 and by drafting in Kantasak Kusiri, one of Thailand’s hottest young racing talents, they are leaving no stone unturned in chasing victory.

Experienced Malaysian Douglas Khoo will make his first appearance in an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 while his Viper Niza team will also field a Vantage GT4 for Romain Leroux. Sticking with British brands and KamLung Racing will field a third generation Bentley Continental GT3 for Hong Kong’s Mak Hing Tak. The team will further run a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo for ‘Kenneth’ Lau Chi Yung.

Another car to definitely follow is Fist - Team AAI’s BMW M6 GT3 as it’s going to be in the hands of emerging lady driver Yin Yu Chen, while a real dark horse in GT4 will be Full Function, which has a new McLaren 570S for Charun Kietbumrungkul.

A novelty will be the first ever appearance in Singapore of the Ford Mustang TA V8, the cars to driven by Craig Corliss and Kel Kearns. These big, loud and brutal cars are always exciting to watch in action.

Timetable

First time on the 5.063 km/23 turn track for TSS The Super Series is Friday (30 Sep), for Official Practice, 14:30 – 15:00, followed by Qualifying, 15:45 – 16:15.
