IMSA - A NASCAR team in LMP2 in 2023 ?

NASCAR will be in the spotlight at the 24 Hours of Le Mans next June with the entry of a car in Garage 56. A top American championship team is expected to enter the IMSA championship next season in the LMP2 class, as we already have Team Penske and Rick Ware Racing in IMSA. 

This time, there is talk of Hendrick Motorsports possibly entering the sports car series, which would not be a first for the team run by Linda and Rick Hendrick. For three seasons, from 1985 to 1988, HMS was present in IMSA GTP via the GM Goodwrench programme with the Corvette.
