When F1 arrives, it ravages everything in its path. The change of date of the Belgian GP forced SRO to find a new weekend for the 24 Hours of Spa 2023. A job in the shadows that causes a few sleepless nights. Laurent Gaudin, general manager of the event, has mobilised his troops to find the 'least bad option'.

Laurent Gaudin, a big fan of history, knows better than anyone that a plan can be made and unmade many times. The general manager of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe and the 24 Hours of Spa experienced this during the pandemic with calendars that had to be modified several times. This time it was Formula 1 that caused the general manager headaches with the change of date of the Belgian Formula 1 GP.
