Risi Competizione back for Petit Le Mans
Already seen at the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 6 Hours of the Glen, Risi Competizione will complete the Michelin Endurance Cup in GTD Pro. The Houston-based team, which has won the event five times in all classes, is aiming for a sixth win in Georgia at the 25th edition of the Petit Le Mans (October 1st).
“Because we won in the inaugural Petit race here in 1998, it always holds a special place for me”, Giuseppe Risi said. “Since that first outing 25 years ago, we have been on the podium, including the top step, a number of times. That certainly never gets old. We always strive for a victory, so we will look to do just that again this year.”
To achieve its goal, the team will rely on Brazilian Daniel Serra and Italian Davide Rigon. At Michelin Road Atlanta Raceway, the two men will be joined by James Calado, another member of the Ferrari Competizioni GT team.
