By deciding to give its Ferrari 488 GT3 n°27 to Giancarlo Fisichella (49 years old - 229 Grands Prix) and Rubens Barrichello (50 years old - 323 Grands Prix), the Scuderia Baldini & Co knew that it was going to make a big media coup. But did they expect their 50-year-old duo - or almost! - to dominate the usual drivers of the championship? Probably not.

But that's what the two former F1 drivers - the third and twelfth most capped drivers in history - did this afternoon. Not far from Rome, they dominated the race without a hitch, winning by 2.5 seconds over their closest rivals, who were driving a Honda NSX GT3.

On the finish line, both men were as happy as young wolves who had just won their first victory. Of course, the public was also delighted, as both drivers have a special place in the hearts of the tifosi for having defended the Scuderia's interests in F1.
