  • Romain Dumas has just spent two days testing on the Nordschleife. No Porsche for the French driver, but the electric 2000 horsepower Ford Transit with two tons of power.

 

  • GTWC Europe Garage 59 reshuffles the crew of its McLaren 720S GT3 #159 for the Valencia meeting. Ethan Simioni, who was not present at Hockenheim, will not be present in Spain either. Manuel Maldonado will be supported by Nikolai Kjaergaard. The Dane is driving for Garage 59 in the Endurance series.

  • Ultimate Cup Series Cédric Page, president of GP Motors Sport Séries, has become the new promoter of the Ultimate Cup Series in 2020. The Swiss lawyer is surrounded by two new faces. Christophe Profit, who arrives from Ligier Automotive, takes the position of commercial director. Angélique Payet takes the position of general manager of the series. Vincent Vigier, who initiated the championship, no longer seems to be part of the organization chart. 

 

  • Sim Racing Le Mans Virtual Cup, which is part of Le Mans Virtual Series, will see 30 Ligier JS P320s compete in the first race of the championship this Friday at Sebring. The platform used is rFactor 2. 
  • Motor Show The President of the United States visited the Detroit Motor Show. Joe Biden was confident about the future of the automobile, which is shaping up to be electric: "Today, I visited the Detroit Motor Show and saw firsthand the electric vehicles that give me so much reason to be optimistic about our future." 
  • Le Mans Cup The Michelin Le Mans Cup returns to action in a week's time at Spa-Francorchamps. The Belgian entry list includes 37 cars (5 GT3, 32 LMP3). The entry list is available here.
