Although the Richard Mille Racing Team's Oreca n°1 was not always up to scratch, this did not prevent Lilou Wadoux from shining this season, her first in Endurance racing and in LMP2. The 21-year-old Frenchwoman has taken up the daring challenge she set herself a few months ago by entering the world championship after finishing third in the Alpine Elf Europa Cup last year.

As a reminder, each year, selected by the promoter, young drivers are offered the opportunity to complete a minimum of 30 laps in the winning cars of the World Championship in Hypercar and GTE Pro. And this year, the lucky ones for the Rookie Test in Bahrain (November 13) are Lilou Wadoux, Lorenzo Colombo, Doriane Pin, and Finn Gehrsitz.

"I am very happy to have been selected, Wadoux said. Just a year ago, I took part in the Bahrain Rookie Test in LMP2 with Richard Mille, while I was racing in the Alpine Elf Europa Cup. It was a big step in my career because I suddenly found myself driving a prototype. I learned a lot and now I have a new opportunity with a new test, but this time at the steering wheel of a Hypercar. It's a dream come true and I'm delighted. On a personal level, I am proud to show that women can reach the highest level of motorsport. I hope that my example will inspire young girls to follow this path.”

Lilou has a great chance to take the wheel of the Toyota GR010 Hybrid, twice winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Except for a catastrophe (victory and pole for Alpine, no Toyota on the podium), the Manufacturers' title should once again fall into the Japanese manufacturer's lap. If this happens, Lilou will have to go to Cologne to mould its seat and take its bearings on the simulator, as her teammate Charles Milesi did last year.

The 21-year-old Italian Lorenzo Colombo will either drive a Porsche 911 RSR-19 or a Ferrari 488 GTE. Doriane Pin (18-year-old), will be in an LMP2 and the German driver Finn Gehrsitz (17-year-old) in a GTE Am (#33 or #98 Aston Martin).
