Here are some of the key figures from the 2022 edition of the Fuji 6 Hours, the Japanese round of the World Endurance Championship. With in particular some amusing statistics...

1'31''454 The B-Pillar document is once again rich in information when it comes to average lap times. Brendon Hartley (1'31''454) is the best of all. He is ahead of his team-mates Ryo Hirakawa (1'31''510) and Sébastien Buemi (1'31''532). As mentioned in our analysis (see HERE), Mikkel Jensen was fourth (1'31''617).

In LMP2, Antonio Félix da Costa stood out (1'33''189), followed by a stunning Dries Vanthoor (1'33''322), who was incredible. Don't forget it was only his second LMP2 race this year and his first appearance at Fuji Speedway. Antonio Fuco (1'38''036) was mega in GTE Pro, while Davide Rigon (1'39''938) shone in GTE Am.

41 000 That's the number of visitors to the event, including 24,500 on Sunday alone.

8 The number of victories achieved by Toyota in this event in... nine editions! Since the rebirth of the WEC in 2012, the Japanese manufacturer has only let victory slip through its fingers once, in 2015.

1'26''178 The pole position time set by the #19 GR Supra GT500 Toyota on 6 August in Super GT. This compares with Kamui Kobayashi's time of 1'29''234 on Saturday! It should be noted that a GT500 generates much more downforce than the current Hypercars and has development tyres that are probably even more advanced than those used in WEC.

4 In four starts at Fuji, the Michael Christensen-Kévin Estre duo (#92 Porsche 911 RSR-19) has always finished on the podium.

121 The number of points that the trio Buemi-Hartley-Hirakawa and Negrao-Lapierre-Vaxiviere now have in the Drivers' championship before the final in Bahrain. The Toyota drivers are leading the way as they have one more second place.

0 The number of race interruptions yesterday, whether Full Course Yellow or Safety Car. To find an event run entirely under green flag conditions in the WEC, you have to go back to the 2016 edition of the... 6 Hours of Fuji. In terms of distance, it is still the third most prolific six-hour race in the WEC: 244 laps, i.e. 1113 km.

2 The number of victories achieved by Ryo Hirakawa at Fuji Speedway this year. The Japanese driver of the #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid won in Super Formula on 8 April.
