Valentino Rossi is enjoying GT3 racing and his progress since his debut in the Audi R8 LMS GT3 is notable. Rumours of him entering a LMP2 car in the short term have been circulating in the Spa-Francorchamps paddock. What is the reality?

Valentino Rossi knew that the challenge of moving from two to four wheels was a big one. Ranked Silver by the FIA, the former rider did not take the easy way out by competing in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe (Sprint and Endurance). However, he benefits from the great expertise of WRT, not to mention that of his teammates Nico Müller and Frédéric Vervisch. It was a nonsense to think that the rookie would be in the same laptimes as his two teammates.
