With the presentations almost over, the manufacturers have launched their intense test campaigns. The Porsche 963 sent to the United States is at Sebring Raceway this week, along with the Cadillac LMDh (its name has not yet been revealed), which underwent its debugging last week (see HERE).

A "collective" test session that Acura was supposed to have initiated, but the ARX-06 project was slightly delayed (see HERE), so Acura did not take part.

For various reasons, this week of testing - which should end on Saturday - is important for several reasons. And in particular because Bosch is supposed to have made a major update to its MGU, which has enraged Porsche so much in recent weeks. During a test session at the MotorLand in Aragon, Spain, two MGUs failed after only ten laps each, bringing the planned run to a premature end.

Cadillac decided to entrust Chip Ganassi Racing with this week of testing. New Zealander Earl Bamber - who was given the task of debugging last week - and Dutchman Renger van der Zande have already been seen at the wheel. They are expected to be joined by Sebastien Bourdais and probably Alex Lynn. Action Express Racing is expected to receive its car at the end of the month.
