6 H. de Monza - Frédéric Makowiecki replaces Richard Lietz

After his victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Richard Lietz was hoping to make it two this weekend at the 6 Hours of Monza. Unfortunately, the Austrian is ill and will have to miss the Italian round of the World Endurance Championship.

Unsurprisingly, Porsche has called on Frédéric Makowiecki, his teammate in La Sarthe, to replace him on the #91 Porsche 911 RSR-19. The Frenchman will do everything he can to help Gianmaria Bruni achieve victory on home soil. 

This is a big blow for Lietz, who was leading the provisional GTE World Championship standings, and to whom we wish a speedy recovery.
