A few days after the livery and technical specifications of the 963 were revealed (see HERE), Porsche finally unveils its new 911 GT3 R, the first one inspired by the type 992 generation. "It's better everywhere," Sebastian Golz, head of the German manufacturer's program, told us when we were invited to see it on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

Above all, it offers a wider range of settings than its predecessor, which will allow it to meet the requirements of professional and amateur drivers alike, with a new adaptive software. This will also make it even easier for racing teams to understand and use.

The cockpit and its ergonomics have also been revised, with the aim of improving driver comfort and visibility.

This first 911 GT3 R type 992 will replace, as of next year, the evocative 911 GT3 R type 991, which has been running around the world since 2019. A car that we will see in GT World Challenge, but also in Nürburgring Endurance Series, in IMSA SportsCar Championship ... then in 2024 in the ACO championships, and therefore the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
