When Pierre-Alexandre Jean came to compete in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Sprint without competing in endurance racing, he knew that the task would not be easy against drivers who have already won several championships. Since the beginning of the season, the tandem he forms with Ulysse De Pauw on the Ferrari 488 GT3/AF Corse has been working perfectly. The Franco-Belgian team leads the Silver Cup after five races with an overall victory in the season opener at Brands Hatch.   "We expected something positive," Pierre-Alexandre Jean told Endurance-Info. "AF Corse is one of the best GT3 teams and to start with a win was something strong. The spirit in the team is very good and the results follow. All this puts us on a good dynamic."

Pierre-Alexandre Jean, who only drives the Ferrari 488 GT3 during meetings, is still lacking in driving experience : "We haven't done much driving this year," he explains. "Before the start of the season, we completed two days of testing, which is not much compared to the competition. In Sprint, the circuits are not easy."    The objective of the AF Corse driver, supported by 8 partners, was to run a double programme but the budget did not allow it. Contacts were also underway to compete in the 24 Hours of Spa, but the budget was tight. The tandem is driving the #51 Ferrari, which is competing in Endurance with Nielsen/Calado/Molina. The two drivers can rely on the experience of Brice Laforge in the role of engineer.

"I really like the Ferrari," continued the former GT4 driver. "From the beginning I really liked the car. I feel good behind the wheel knowing that the Ferrari is comfortable. We have the right package to do things right. I'm focusing on the current season before thinking about the future."
