The Captain was at Le Mans to supervise the entry of the #5 Oreca 07. And he gave an interview to Endurance-Info. Part One: Team Penske's involvement in LMP2 this year.
When was the last time you were at the 24 Hours of Le Mans? In 1971, when Mark Donohue and David Hobbs were driving (in a Ferrari 512 M forced to retire due to engine trouble in the fifth hour). Can you imagine? And I even came as a driver in 1963, in a Ferrari 330 TR with Pedro Rodriguez. It was the first time that the starting grid was not determined by engine capacity. Rodriguez qualified on pole position with a time of 3'50''900. Yesterday, someone asked me to sign a photo of this car! But I hadn't been here since 1971, that's a long time...
