Returning to the 24 Hours of Le Mans nine years after its last participation, DKR Engineering did not know what to expect. Kendy Janclaes' team, which won an invitation following the LMP3 title in ELMS, had little time to prepare before arriving at Le Mans.

The third place in the LMP2 Pro-Am category has a feeling of victory for the team from Luxembourg. First at all, DKR Engineering was the only team present at Le Mans on three different meetings (24H, Ligier European Series, Road to Le Mans). Secondly, it had three rookies at Le Mans and thirdly, it was discovering the Oreca 07.  This result shows that it is still possible to achieve a good result in the world's biggest endurance race if the work is done well.
