- The FIA Motorsport Games will return to Paul Ricard and the surrounding region of Marseille next autumn. New for 2022, the Endurance category will feature a 150-minute long distance event with LMP3 and GT3 cars. The sprint event for professional drivers will also complement the two-driver GT Cup, which will retain its Pro-Am driver scoring philosophy. 

- Nelson Piquet Jr will drive a Lamborghini Super Trofeo America this weekend for ANSA Motorsports at NOLA.

- Mirko Bortolotti, Dries Vanthoor and Rolf Ineichen have discovered the Oreca 07 that WRT will be running at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Vincent Vosse's Belgian team will run a third chassis in the Sarthe. A test session took place earlier this week in Portimao. 

 

- BMW M GmbH is staging the BMW M Race of Legends as part of the 50th ADAC TotalEnergies 24h race at the Nürburgring. In collaboration with BMW Group Classic, they have secured a well-known, international starting grid for the race. Multitude of BMW racing legends will go head to head in a 30-minute race on the Grand Prix track just before the 24-hour race gets underway on Saturday 28th May, 2022. The minimum age to compete is 50. Dirk Adorf (DE), Bill Auberlen (USA), Johnny Cecotto (VEN), Eddie Cheever (USA), Harald Grohs (DE), Olaf Manthey (DE), Jochen Mass (DE), Arturo Merzario (IT), Steve Soper (UK), HRH Prince Leopold of Bavaria (DE), Franciscus van Meel (NL) and Eric van de Poele (BEL) will take each other on in identical BMW M2 CS Racing. Jochen Neerpasch (DE), co-founder of BMW Motorsport GmbH and mentor of the current BMW Junior Team, and BMW Group Classic brand ambassador HRH Prince Leopold of Bavaria (DE) will also be supporting the drivers as patrons of the extravaganza.

- The results of this year's Intelligent Money British GT Championship rounds at Oulton Park and Silverstone have been finalised and made official following a National Court hearing on Tuesday 17 May. RAM Racing's appeal against the result of Race 2 at Oulton Park was upheld by the National Court. Jules Gounon and Ian Loggie are therefore the winners of Race 2 at Oulton Park.    - Seven Mercedes-AMG GT3s will be on the starting grid for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. The two Mercedes of GetSpeed will receive BWT colours, the #3 of Christodoulou/Götz/Schiller, the #4 of Gounon/Engel/Juncadella. HRT will have two AMGs in Bilstein colours, the #6 of Bastian/Dienst/Haupt/Piana and the #12 of Ellis/Marciello/Stolz. The other three Mercedes are entered by CP Racing, Team Landgraf and Schnitzelalm Racing.
