- Mercedes-AMG Team Craft-Bamboo Racing returns to Mount Panorama this week with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 car for Maro Engel, Daniel Juncadella and Kevin Tse for the Bathurst 12 Hours. The Hong Kong-based team has just revealed the livery of its Mercedes for the Australian event.

- Audi Sport Asia has confirmed that two new X Works-run R8 LMS Evo II GT3s will contest this year’s Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS campaign, which begins at Sepang on May 20-22. The manufacturer’s official regional drivers Sandy Stuvik and Shaun Thong lead two Pro-Am crews also featuring Yasser Shahin and David Pun. All four drivers are scheduled to contest the continental series’ six rounds, which also comprise four events in Japan and Indonesia’s season finale at the new Mandalika circuit.

- Seven Mercedes-AMG GT3s will compete in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring at the end of this month. Five of the seven Mercedes will be running under the Mercedes-AMG banner, which means more factory support. Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed will be in charge of two cars with the #3 car of Fabian Schiller, Adam Christodoulou and Maximilian Götz, and the #4 car of Maro Engel, Jules Gounon and Daniel Juncadella. Two cars also for Mercedes-AMG Team Bilstein (Haupt Racing Team). Nico Bastian, Philip Ellis and Hubert Haupt will share the #6 car. Raffaele Marciello, Luca Stoz and a third driver to be confirmed will be in the #12. Mercedes-AMG Team Landgraf will run in the Pro-Am class with Julien Apotheloz, Patrick Assenheimer, Dominik Baumann and Luca-Sandro Trefz. The other two Mercedes will also be in Pro-Am : CP Racing (Charles Espenlaub, Joe Foster, Shane Lewis, Charles Putman) and Schnitzelalm Racing (Marek Böckmann, Kenneth Heter, Yannick Mettler, Johannes Stengel). 

 

-  The Porsche Sprint Challenge will again support the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year. There will be 71 Porsches entered by 26 teams. The field will consist of 30 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars. The competitors of the Porsche Sprint Challenge France will compete in two 45-minute races preceded by two free practice sessions and two qualifying sessions on the 13.626 km track reserved for the Le Mans 24 Hours.

 

- Schnitzer Classic confirms the presence of a BMW M3 E30 in the DTM Classic for Kris Nissen. The 61-year-old Dane has several seasons of DTM experience from the 1980s and 1990s. He has two participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1987 and 1988 in a Porsche 962 C.

- The #117 Ligier JS P320 in the colours of the BTZ Motorsports team won the first round of the Brazilian championship, the Império Endurance Brasil on 30 April 2022. The French constructor’s sports prototype was also the focal point of a great deal of interest during the 4 Hours of Goiânia.
