When The Boss talks, Starsky and Hutch are never far away...
8 May. 2022 ‧ 16:00
Between them, François Perrodo, Nicklas Nielsen and Alessio Rovera form an unbeatable trio. There's The Boss, Starsky and Hutch. Believe us, it's marked on the AF Corse box, like not putting diesel in the #83 Oreca 07/AF Corse, just in case The Boss gets the idea of putting the yellow pipe in the LMP2. With them, business is done: two races, two poles, two victories. At Spa-Francorchamps, The Boss spoke to us about his two young teammates just after a driver change session in the Ford Grand Torino, now the Oreca 07.
When you read a lap times sheet from an LMP2 qualifying session in WEC, you might be surprised to see an LMP2 entered in the Pro-Am class at the top. This is not unusual when you consider that it is the pro driver who does the qualifying. AF Corse had its work cut out for it when it moved its GTE-Am world champion trio into LMP2. Ironically, the most experienced driver in the #83 lineup is François Perrodo, the gentleman. He is therefore the boss, even if he sometimes puts diesel in a McLaren F1 GTR, but that's another story we'll tell you later.
