- Team Uematsu make their Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS debut this season after becoming the latest outfit to submit a Japan Cup entry. 

Team owner Tadao Uematsu helped the same McLaren, albeit run by ABSSA, to finish second overall in last season’s Super Taikyu ST-X (GT3) standings. He was also ST-TCR champion in 2018 and ‘20, previously competed with his own team in Super GT, and has extensive experience aboard other GT3 machinery.

Likewise his co-driver Yudai Uchida who raced against Uematsu in Super Taikyu’s top category and helped Kondo Racing clinch 2016’s ST-X teams’ championship. He has since won the last three ST-Z class titles aboard Endless Sports’ Mercedes-AMG GT4.

 

-  Claude-Yves Gosselin and Marc Rostan are expected to drive for another team in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. The duo, who had previously been driving for Boutsen Racing, are moving to FFF Racing Team, the Italian structure based close to Lamborghini Squadra Corse.

 

- Audi and Porsche in Formula 1 in the next few years, it's done! The announcement was made today by Herbert Diess, chairman of the VW board of directors, according to Reuters. 

 

- Two-time British GT Champion Andrew Howard will make a surprise return to the series with Paddock Motorsport at this weekend’s Silverstone 500 in the team’s McLaren 720S GT3. Howard, who won the GT3 crown in 2013 and ’15, substitutes for regular driver Kelvin Fletcher - who is unavailable due to the imminent arrival of twins - alongside Martin Plowman.

 

- The Chapelle Sainte Anne in La Baule is putting Michel Vaillant in the spotlight from 30 April to 6 June. In addition to two cars, a Vaillante by Crosslé and a Vaillante Le Mans GT, 24 Michel Vaillant Art Strips are on display, as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans Box and minimodels.
